Overview
Delta Force Season 9 "Echo" went live on April 21, 2026 and ran until Season 10 "Meltdown" replaced it on June 30, 2026 — about 70 days in total. Echo was built around sound and intel. The new Recon operator Morse was marketed as "turning sound into sight," Zero Dam's new reed beds startle birds when someone moves or fires nearby, and the launch post asked players: "Every shot echoes. Are you listening?"
The season is over, but a lot of what it introduced is still part of Delta Force today: the M82 Sniper Rifle and AR57 Assault Rifle, the Akh Canal Warfare map, the reworked Zero Dam and the Anchor Point Rail Stock and Resonant MKIII Grip attachments. This guide covers everything Echo added, every launch and mid-season balance change from the official patch notes, and what carried forward into later seasons.
What Carried Over After Season 9
- •M82 Sniper Rifle — still in the game and buffed again in Season 10 and Season 11
- •AR57 Assault Rifle — still in the game, with new attachment compatibility added in Season 10
- •Akh Canal — part of the Warfare map rotation and the base Steam install
- •Zero Dam rework — the widened southern waterway, reed beds and rebuilt elevator extraction
- •Anchor Point Rail Stock and Resonant MKIII Grip — permanent attachments, unlike the season-limited HVK kits
New Operator: Morse (Recon)
Morse — real name Luke Everley — is the Recon operator at the heart of the Echo season, and he was free on the Season 9 Season Pass free tier. His kit is all about information: finding out how many enemies are in an area, pinpointing the ones who make noise, and then making it harder for them to hear, see and turn. According to a third-party transcript of the pre-season dev stream, he is a former Navy acoustic intelligence specialist.
Advanced Sonar Device
Deploys a detector that periodically scans an area, shows how many enemies are inside and precisely marks enemies who made sound. The dev stream describes it as his ultimate, with the marks visible to his team.
Throwable Jammer
A "resonant disruptor" that slows enemies in range, blurs their vision, makes turning harder, reduces their hearing and creates continuous sound.
Delayed Flashbang
A flashbang that detonates after a delay and blinds enemies who are facing it.
Trait: Sonic Sense (Operations)
Morse has a larger hearing range, and enemies who fire nearby are roughly marked on the map.
Trait: Sonic Sitrep (Warfare)
Scouts nearby enemy devices and creates markers that only Morse can see.
Morse — Mid-Season Buffs (May 21)
🔼 Buff- • Throwable Jammer radius 7 m → 10 m (all modes)
- • Jammer interference duration 2 s → 3 s (Operations)
- • Delayed Flashbang flash duration significantly increased (Operations)
- • Separately, the Morse Operator Profile mission difficulty was eased on May 14
Playing With and Against Morse
- •The Sonar Device marks enemies who make sound, but it also reports how many enemies are inside its area — moving quietly keeps you off the map, not out of the headcount
- •In Operations, Sonic Sense roughly marks enemies who fire near Morse, so every shot you take close to him gives away your position
- •The Jammer slows, blurs and deafens targets — throw it right before a push, not after the fight has started
- •The Delayed Flashbang only blinds players facing it: if you hear one land, turn away until it pops
New Warfare Map: Akh Canal
Akh Canal is Season 9's new Warfare map, described in press coverage as the mode's 12th map. The official patch notes only say "New Warfare map added: Akh Canal," but the preview coverage pitched it as "less walking, more gunning": open trenches, tight indoor spaces and a central cargo-ship chokepoint, playable in Attack & Defend and King of the Hill. From Season 9 it is also part of the base Steam install.
Sector A — Factory
A mix of indoor and outdoor fighting around an industrial factory (sector breakdown from the pre-season dev stream).
Sectors B1/B2 — Trenches & Hill
Open trench lines and a hill, the most exposed part of the map.
Sector C — Capsized Cargo Ship
The central chokepoint: a capsized cargo ship with close-quarters fighting inside the hull.
Sector D — The Docks
The final sector along the docks, home to the map's missile strike set piece in D1.
Water Crossings & Transports
According to the dev stream, water crossing is supported and attackers get transport vehicles.
The D1 Missile Strike
In sector D1, players can trigger a missile strike that destroys the main port warehouse and leaves a crater behind. The dev stream described two guided missiles and a crater of roughly 70 m, and reportedly attackers can use the strike to open an underground capture point while defenders can use it to reset a point they have lost.
Akh Canal Mid-Season Rebalance (May 21)
- •Objective B: defender redeploy position moved; B1 and B2 capture areas expanded
- •Objective D: D2 capture area expanded and two Assault Vehicles added for defenders
- •Garena's summary also lists a smaller D1 capture area; the Steam patch notes do not mention it
- •Elsewhere in Warfare: on Fault (Victory Unite, PC), the defenders' deployable scout helicopter in Area B was removed at launch
Zero Dam Rework & Operation Gold
Season 9 did not add a new Operations map — that came in Season 10 with AZ3 — so the Operations headline was a substantial Zero Dam rework. The changes reshape how squads approach the dam from the water and how the elevator extraction plays out.
Southern Waterway
The southern waterway was widened and deepened, with underwater entry and new shore access points.
Reed Beds
New reed beds line the area. Moving or firing near them startles birds — an anti-camping cue that gives away anyone hiding inside.
Elevator Extraction Rebuilt
A second passage was added for flanking, defenders get much less cover inside the elevator, and attackers get wider peek angles.
Position Fixes
Unbalanced positions were patched on April 23, near the elevator on April 28, and again with the May 21 mid-season update.
Flagship Task: Operation Gold
"Gold" (also called Operation Gold) is Zero Dam's new flagship task. The story: Raven, annoyed at being left out of Saeed and Reis' last job, robs the dam vault himself. Season 9 also introduced lore around the Ahsarah "Bull Horn God," who hides wealth in the mounds — the basis of the Treasure Burial mode.
Operation Gold Rules
- •You get a limited window inside the vault before Raven vents hydrogen gas
- •Staying past that window causes escalating damage
- •The safe search time was raised from 30 s to 45 s on May 28
- •Operation Gold is mutually exclusive with Operation Wall Breaker
Space City & Other Operations Changes
- •Space City: respawn tweaks at the Eastern Suspension Bridge, Employee Passage #2 and the print room
- •Space City: the mech easter-egg room entrance was closed
- •Space Base commander spawn odds evened out between Desmoulins and Hudson
- •Hot Zone - Tide Prison combat space slightly adjusted
- •Later Space City fixes: Black Chamber and under-bridge positions (May 14), Hoisting Room (May 28) and dockside glass shoot-through (June 3–5)
- •"Zero Dam - Normal" solo queue and "Tide Prison - Adaptation" were temporarily unavailable after the launch update
New Weapons: M82 Sniper Rifle & AR57
Season 9 added two guns that are still relevant today: the .50 BMG M82 Sniper Rifle and the 5.7x28mm AR57 Assault Rifle. Both were unlocked through the launch event "New Weapons - AR57, M82 Sniper Rifle" (April 21–28). In Operations you reached 100 points from event missions to unlock crafting rights, then submitted materials to get the weapon; in Warfare you completed Armory missions to unlock usage rights.
M82 Sniper Rifle (.50 BMG)
The M82 brought .50 BMG into Delta Force along with three dedicated rounds. The official notes give no stat table; the dev stream only promised high damage, armor penetration and vehicle damage. Community stat tables (zilliongamer) list base damage 100, a 5-round magazine and 525 m/s velocity, and GameWith notes that a 12-round drum magazine exists. Paired with the M903 SLAP round, guides report it can one-shot to the chest.
The M82 After Season 9
- •Season 10 (Operations): the M82 can damage combat vehicles and devices, and Black Site .50 BMG production cost was reduced
- •Season 11 (Operations): Crocodile Barrel Combo handling +8 → +11, AMR-HT Hollow Stock handling +4 → +8
- •Season 11 (Warfare): the same two parts went +8 → +10 and +3 → +7
- •Season 11 also added an ADS movement-accuracy penalty for sniper rifles in Operations

View M82 BuildsAR57 Assault Rifle (5.7x28mm)
The AR57 is a high-fire-rate 5.7x28mm assault rifle. According to the dev stream it is built on a modified AR-15 lower with a top-mounted, high-capacity magazine and ejects downward. GameWith describes the first 10 rounds as easy to control, with low armor damage as the trade-off. No AR57 balance change appeared in any Season 9 patch.
The AR57 was also seeded into Operations Gear Tickets in Season 9: it replaced the M250 in Season Mission Custom Gear Ticket Option 2 and was added to the Spec Ops Firepower ticket. Since then it has stayed in the game — Season 10 made the VMX Frameless Sight compatible with it.

The Resonant MKIII Grip greatly improves vertical recoil control at the cost of horizontal control, and the Skeleton Competition Kit gives the Desert Eagle a "Hip Fire Specialized Trajectory." Season 9 also brought two season-limited kits under the "Haavk Military Prototype Weapon Program": the M249 HVK Chainsaw Kit and the MP7 HVK Combat Kit. HVK parts are season-limited and can expire, while the Anchor Point Rail Stock and Resonant MKIII Grip are permanent.
Warfare Vehicle Updates
LAV-G1 IFV Guided Missile
A new secondary guided missile. Fired without a lock it flies straight; lock a target before or after firing and it homes in.
AAV Counter-Fire Radar
Marks enemies who are damaging friendly vehicles.
Thermal Weapon Stations
Light and heavy machine-gun vehicles gained Thermal Vision weapon stations.
Map & Cabin Tweaks
The map shows which way vehicles are facing, drivers can toggle in-vehicle music, and mobile players get third-person view and first-person aim assist on vehicle stations. No new vehicle model was added in Season 9.
Game Modes & Events
Treasure Burial (Operations, limited-time)
Treasure piles ("Bull Horn mounds") sit at fixed spots on the maps. Digging one up can reveal gifts and messages buried by players in other matches, and you can bury regular collectibles and specific mission items with a message of your own.
Legend of Ahsarah: Master's Trace (Operations, limited-time)
Parkour graffiti and leaderboard boards appear at fixed spots; interacting with the neural device starts a parkour challenge.
Overload (Warfare TDM)
Team Deathmatch with killstreak buffs that grow with your streak — press and the dev stream mention health regen, faster reload, wallhack-style detection, movement and handling. It ran as the "Burst Fest Overload" event from May 1 to May 21.
Vanguard (Warfare Attack/Defense)
A fast-paced Attack/Defense variant that skips some combat zones, with limited deployable and airdropped vehicles and air vehicles purchasable with points in some areas. Maps: Trench Lines and Cyclone.
Vanguard's timing is unclear in the official record: the launch patch notes list it among the April 21 additions, but the May 21 mid-season post calls it "brand-new" and ran it as a "New Mode: Vanguard" event from May 22 to June 11. Other mode tweaks at launch: Tactical Team Deathmatch's kill target dropped from 100 to 60, and Flashpoint got optimized deployment positions with the downed state removed.

Quality of Life & System Changes
New Prone Poses
A new supine (on-your-back) prone state and a "crunched" prone pose that stops legs clipping through walls. Legs are now visible in first person on PC, sound positioning improved, and prone and downed states interact on slopes.
Operations Mark System 2.0
The mark wheel can be customized outside a match, with a redesigned UI and adjustable transparency. Interactables such as levers, ziplines and keycard readers can be marked, and enemy players and AI get different markers.
Gunsmith Scheme Management
Delete, rename and share saved schemes. Share codes posted in chat can be imported with one tap, and console players can share and import codes from the modification screen.
Collection Room (Black Site)
Renovated with weapon racks in the underground area, unlocked at Collection Room Tier 1. Displayed weapons track eliminations and extractions — losing the weapon erases its stats permanently. You can fire weapons inside.
Medical & Loadout
Surgical kits heal max-HP-reducing debuffs first, and med crates stop spending durability on a pain-relief effect that is already active. Loadouts gained a default durability option and an "Allow loadout to dismantle stash weapons" setting.
Victory Unite & Deluxe Market
Victory Unite unlocks at Colonel this season, Commander last season, or Vanguard as highest historical rank. The Deluxe Market gained expanded filters and a "selection points" buyer system for older legendary and epic deluxe appearances.
- •Steam install split: the base install keeps Zero Dam, Space City, Cracked, Trench Lines, Aftershock and Akh Canal; other maps moved to free Operations and Warfare Map Pack DLCs, with the base install expected to shrink from about 145 GB to about 85 GB
- •Gear Ticket loadouts reworked — Season Mission Custom now offers K416 (Option 1) and AR57 (Option 2), and Elite tickets swapped in the P90, M249 and Lever-action Rifle
- •New collectibles, including red-tier Femtosecond Laser, Rangefinder and Iridescent Soccer Ball
- •PC hotkey to switch microphone voice mode, an Issue Feedback option, a match rating gallery and a better inspect wheel for deluxe weapons
- •New achievements: Good Things Come in Pairs, Flower Flurry, Air Snipe and True Iron Triangle
- •Anti-cheat "Operation Sentinel" (June 5): flagged repeat-offender devices are limited to Zero Dam and Layali Grove in Operations, cannot squad, get a separate matchmaking pool and are visibly marked
Season-End Rules
- •Armament Vouchers were cleared at the season change, but Tactical Armament progress carried over
- •Season 9 Supply Packs can no longer be upgraded by crafting after Season 10 began
- •HVK attachments from Season 9 are season-limited and can expire — don't rely on them in long-term builds
