The Thompson SMG arrived in Season 11 (Sept 8, 2026). It fires .45 ACP at 900 RPM with 34 base damage in Operations, holds 20 rounds by default (35 with the extended mag) and has very high handling. It rose from S to SS in S11 Operations tier lists for its fast TTK in normal matches — RIP-ammo leg shots are strong, and attachments add damage — and its value grade climbed to A. A Sept 17 fix corrected attachment bonuses that weren't applying, so builds from before that date may be off.

Warfare: complete the Armory mission (5 Attack/Defend or King of the Hill matches plus 120 minutes of play). The launch bugs that hid new weapons and blocked the unlock were fixed on Sept 10 and Sept 17, 2026. Operations: find it in weapon crates or buy it on the Auction House; it is also in the Season Mission Custom Gear Ticket (Option 1) and the Standard Gear Ticket – Balanced. Extracting with it in Operations has also unlocked it for Warfare for many players.

Start with the Thompson Adv.Frame System (HG Kit): it lets you mount the Resonant Ergonomic Grip and the 416 Light Stock. Add the Thompson Premium Barrel, Sandstorm Vertical Compensator, Thompson Wooden Anti-Slip Rear Grip, Hornet Handguard Panel, Thompson Extended Mag (35) and a Combat Red Dot Sight.
Season 11 added the permanent .45 ACP Super round: armor-piercing, penetration level 5, 0.85x damage and 1.1x armor damage. For cheaper runs, RIP ammo aimed at the legs is strong on the Thompson.
The Sept 17, 2026 update fixed "some Thompson SMG attachment bonuses did not apply correctly". Builds and reviews from before that date may not match how the gun performs now.
