M14 has some of the highest damage in the game. Works at any range. But first 5 shots kick hard—you need to control recoil. Not beginner-friendly.

Marlin hits harder but it's lever-action, very slow fire rate. M14 fires faster, more forgiving for follow-up shots. Pick M14 for consistent firepower. Pick Marlin if you want one-shot kills and can accept getting killed when you miss.

Why is M14 so expensive to build?

High burst damage weapon needs expensive attachments. The 800k+ builds are what M14 really needs—the 270k budget build can't perform well. Go full build or skip it.

Is the suppressed build worth 830k?

If you like suppressed weapons. Performance is basically the same as the unsuppressed version—just personal preference.

How do I use M14 at close range?

Hip-fire and pray. Better to use a different gun at close range. M14 isn't for CQC.
