Best M14 Build for Delta Force
M14 got its first buff in a long time in Season 11: in Operations the 30-Round Mag's handling penalty went from -8 to -4 and the 50-Round Drum Mag's from -12 to -6, and the Oct 9 patch reduced its recoil on mobile. It is SSS in S11 Operations tier lists — around a 0.3 s TTK class against gold armor — but very expensive to build (value grade C), and the first shots still kick hard. Limited 7.62x51 LS rounds (Oct 10–16) add +40% muzzle velocity at the cost of +8% vertical recoil.

If you can afford it, yes. S11 tier lists put it at SSS in Operations (A in Warfare): it has some of the highest burst damage in the game and reaches around a 0.3 s TTK class against gold armor. The catches: the first shots kick hard, and builds are very expensive — its value grade is C.
At the S11 launch (Sept 8, 2026), Operations magazine penalties were halved: 30-Round Mag handling -8 → -4 and 50-Round Drum Mag -12 → -6. The Oct 9 mid-season patch reduced M14 recoil on mobile only. The limited 7.62x51 LS round (Oct 10–16) also fits it: +40% muzzle velocity, +8% vertical recoil, and headshots cause Ear Ringing.
Marlin hits harder but it's lever-action, very slow fire rate. M14 fires faster, more forgiving for follow-up shots. Pick M14 for consistent firepower. Pick Marlin if you want one-shot kills and can accept getting killed when you miss.
High burst damage weapon needs expensive attachments. The 800k+ builds are what M14 really needs—the 270k budget build can't perform well. Go full build or skip it.
If you like suppressed weapons. Performance is basically the same as the unsuppressed version—just personal preference.
Hip-fire and pray. Better to use a different gun at close range. M14 isn't for CQC.
