AS Val took two Operations nerfs in 2026: the April 21 update cut muzzle velocity from 330 to 300 m/s and range from 27 to 21 m, and the June 30 update cut damage from 29 to 28 and armor penetration from 48 to 44. It is still SSS in S11 Operations tier lists — a ~0.2 s TTK class with a quiet 100 m sound radius — but it is now a close-range specialist and poor value (value grade C). The 9x39 PAB-7 / PAB-9 rounds make the body part you hit take up to +60% damage for 3 seconds.

In Operations, yes — S11 tier lists still rank it SSS for its ~0.2 s TTK class and 100 m sound radius, and it is S in Warfare. But it is now a close-range specialist, and its value grade is C because full builds are expensive. For a cheap version, run it without a barrel: the integral suppressor is already built in.

In game settings, change your fire key to mouse scroll wheel. Scrolling the wheel simulates manual full-auto firing with the 3-burst barrel.
MK4 is more versatile and adapts to more scenarios. AS Val has a higher ceiling but also a lower floor - it's harder to use but more rewarding when mastered.
With Resonance Grip, AS Val shakes wildly left and right - like the weapon designer is remotely controlling your mouse. Avoid it.
Because its stats look incredible on paper in the firing range against stationary targets. In actual combat against moving targets, it's much harder to hit. High skill ceiling weapon.
